Description
We work with 5 different manufacturers of new step beams to help bring you the exact pallet racking specs that meet or exceed your needs.
Teardrop step beams are one of the most common types of beams used by warehouse storage and distribution centers across America. Teardrop step beams fit teardrop frames (nicknamed because the holes on the column of the upright are shaped like a teardrop). Pallets then rest on the horizontal load beams that are held in place by mounting clips or bolts and most commonly accompany the use of safety pins for added protection and safety. Because the clips on teardrop configurations can be quickly removed, the shelves can be adjusted to different heights or reinforced to bear different weights to accommodate various load sizes. This style of pallet racking is easier to adjust then structural and thus is the preferred pallet racking system for warehouses that have heights of pallets that may change in any given year or point in time during the year. Most of our customers set a height for the elevations and never change them. Teardrop frames and beams are also cheaper then structural but tend to have lower capacities then a structural system.
